Marlin Global is an investment company listed on the New Zealand stock exchange. We invest in growth companies based outside of New Zealand and Australia and seek to create shareholder value through growing our investment assets and paying dividends to shareholders.

The investment portfolio of Marlin Global is managed by Fisher Funds Management Limited (“Fisher Funds” or the “Manager”), an investment manager with a track record of successfully investing in smaller company shares.

The key investment objectives of the Company are to:

  • Achieve a high real rate of return, comprising both income and capital growth, within risk parameters acceptable to the Directors;
  • Provide a portfolio of securities that allows investors access to a hand-picked selection of international growth companies through a single investment.

The unaudited net asset value per ordinary share of the Company as at 31 August 2010 was $1.0649 (24 August 2010: $1.0708). The unaudited diluted net asset value per ordinary share as at 31 August 2010 was $1.0427 (24 August 2010: $1.0466).
 
The diluted net asset value describes the effect if all warrants in existence were exercised today at $1.00. At 31 August 2010, 51,481,779 warrants remain to be exercised. These are exercisable on 15 September 2010 and 31 October 2010 (final exercise date).
 
The net asset values per share are after including accruals for any performance fee payable to the Manager and after deducting treasury stock (shares acquired under the Marlin Global buyback programme).
